That is sooooo cool! I think it looks like the leaves are anticipating some weather to roll in. They look like they’re ready to stand their ground and stay put on their branches! 🙂
They do look strong; that was one of my thoughts, too. I was bracing myself for a windy, rainy day but it was sunny most of the day. They call Montana Big Sky country, but I think Oregon could give them a run for their money some days. Fabulous photo ops. Have a great day, Jess. 🙂

My scientific self sees the sun burning through the clouds, but my spiritual self instantly saw “the eye of God.” What a lovely photograph, Karenlee! Hope we get to see more of this trail in the near future.

Thank you, Amy. It’s also somewhat metaphorical. I was affected by that quote, individual perspective, and what is going on in our country. I wondered if it’s true that we see what we want to see, sunshine, colors, clouds, leaves, light, dark, dull, shiny…
When the sun poked through, I stopped to soak it up (and then grabbed my camera) because later it’s supposed to rain. It was so bright I did not see the colors around the sun until later. 🙂
Thank you, Ann, and yes, it is. The sort-of trail that runs near our property is a photo op for nature lovers. I probably spend more time out there than I do cleaning my house….(my family would scoff about now). 😉
