Common Ground

“The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers.”

Oh, my, if that’s average, then I’m above! 😉

This was a laugh out loud post!! :))) Loved the picture too. I was at one time a truly excellent driver. Now I know it’s time to pass the torch and am cautious just going to the grocery store. My daughter comes once a week to take me places I prefer not to drive myself but have a hard time being a silent passenger. 😦 It’s hard to pass the torch. But it must sometimes be done. Thanks for the laugh.

Hi, Marlene! You are welcome. I remember when my father had to give up driving; it did not go over very well, and was “one of the last vestiges of dignity” in his mind. I have a very hard time with road rage and experience quite a bit of anxiety when driving IF someone is on my tail (I go the speed limit, rarely under, sometimes slightly over, within 5 mph, but not often, so no real cause to be mean to me. I am a considerate driver, I let people in, don’t cut them off, etc.). Still, it can cause upset. I like when the husband drives on long trips (even though that makes me nervous sometimes as well). 😉 Enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🙂

Thank you! The plane/office is a relatively new addition to this store. It’s the one store that when I’d go in, my kids would not go with me because I’d “never come out” according to them. Over time they grew to love it as I do. 🙂

Um, not me! I know I am not a great driver and thus always prefer to be driven!

Hi Amy! I laughed out loud when I read this so had to find a picture to go with it. I SOMETIMES prefer to be driven, but most times do OK when I drive. I don’t think I’m better than others though, but I wonder sometimes about some of those crazy ones I see, if they think they are better. So much road rage. Anyway, this “plane” is on the side of my favorite book store at the beach. Some park job there… 😉
