Spring is finally here. We have color in the yard. I’ve been waiting.

And look what I found. Hundreds of them, on both sides. They come inside and even though the door is open–in fact, there is no door–they can’t get out (or choose not to).

My new garden clogs
They have been christened

These were just the ticket, the boost I needed, to get back outside. They are parked safely inside the kitchen door, ready for me at a moment’s notice. They bring out the funky in me. It’s been a very long winter, but I’m ready to get my fingers dirty.

If you can’t find me, I’ll be out back. 😉

    wonderful gallery. I specially like the quote from Rainer Maria Rilke, he’s my favorite poet and I always look for poems or quotes.

        I don’t really have a favorite, I love his poems about flowers, nature and feelings. I just bought seven books with poems by him, but didn’t find the time yet to read them. I usually look in the internet for English translations as my mother tongue is German. I found a very capable translator by this called James Burnham who sent several poems he translated to me.     Well looky here!! I’ve been wondering about you, girl. Thought maybe you gave this up. Beautiful pictures. Isn’t it crazy how much we miss the simple colors of yellow, purple, and pink in the middle of winter? Spring is such a welcome sight. I’m excited to eat Rolos and imagine that you are growing some nice vegetable in your green house.

      Yep, I’m here. Kind of where you were a while back….no words. Lots of reflecting. Old Man Winter won’t let go here and we’ve seen all kinds of wintry weather long past its normal time. My trail is a swamp. 😦 But, those clogs! Are they not the best? When I saw them I knew they were mine. 🙂 I have spinach, lettuce, thyme, basil, and two flats of wild flowers coming up. Can’t wait for more. Will share photos soon. ❤ Thanks for stopping by. How are YOU?

        No words is good sometimes. The resting and nesting thing. I am so excited that you have all those plants coming up. Sounds like you’ve had a long winter. It’s been gray and cold here, finally got some sun and 70’s. Halleluia. Yes, those clogs rock! Now I want some. Bet they are fun for puddle jumping. I am doing pretty good. This house is a total disaster. I am sorting stuff and packing. We have carpet guy coming next Thursday and my folks are going to help us paint next weekend. We got our lake cabin listed with the realtor 2 weeks ago, man getting that ready was a ton of work! Whew all this talk about moving makes me want to take a nap!!!

          That’s exactly what I’ve been doing: resting and nexting–perhaps too much. 😉 Yes, I see that you are about to move. I know how exhausting that can be…hang in there. Moving is the perfect excuse for the house to be a “disaster,” and you should milk that as long as you can….hee hee. On the other hand, I’m quite sure (rumor, not personal experience) that a bag (or two) of Rolos will perk you right up! 🙂 ❤
