Stance

I don’t think there is any truth. There are only points of view.

We came upon this lovely hunk of furniture on one of our favorite Oregon hiking trails.

What do you see?

I see beauty and grace in something that probably once had a vivid history of meals with various families. I bet that table had/has a great life. 🙂

Yep, it’s that history I wish I could see, watching from a nearby branch or hanging from a star. 😉

Well, to be totally obvious about it, a picnic table that’s been overgrown with moss and ferns?

Yes, and a subtle connection tied to our country’s current political situation. I have tried to focus on opportunity when all appears to be negative, to take a chance while respecting others’ views. This post was about opportunity, respect, and seeing something positive–Ah, a rest stop! A photo op! I can rest my tired feet!–where others may see something negative–This rotten, old table needs to go. 🙂
